Becoming Catholic
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the learning process where adults enter the Catholic Church. RCIA sessions are held weekly beginning in October each year, and over the course of several months those who attend the RCIA classes are educated on what the Catholic Church believes and are given the opportunity to ask question about those beliefs.
Just because you start RCIA, doesn't mean you are committed to entering the Church. If you are merely curious about what Catholicism is, please feel free to come. All are welcome.
Also, if you were baptized as a Catholic or another Christian denomination, and you wish to become fully initiated in the Catholic Church, RCIA will provide the sacramental preparation to receive First Reconciliation (Confession), First Holy Communion and Confirmation.
This year, we will be using the FORMED resources as well as resources from the Association for Catechumenal Ministry in RCIA.
